USABat Stamp

Choose a USABat for Little League!

For any players, parents, or coaches new to little league, there are some regulations about which bats can be used or NOT be used for Little League. It varies per division. So before you go bat-shopping, READ this CAREFULLY! It's no fun to buy a bat then find out your player can't use it.

Non-wood and laminated bats used in the Little League (Majors) and below, and the Intermediate (50-70) Division, shall bear the USA Baseball logo signifying that the bat meets the USABat – USA Baseball’s Youth Bat Performance Standard. All BPF – 1.15 bats are prohibited. The bat diameter shall not exceed 2⅝ inches for these divisions of play. Bats meeting the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution (BBCOR) standard may also be used in the Intermediate (50-70) Division and Junior League Division.

Additional information is available at LittleLeague.org/batinfo.

Here's a quick overview: You need to look at your player's bat. There should be a USABat stamp on the base of the barrel.

  • All bats used for Little League must bear the USABat stamp (see image to the left and below)
  • NO USSSA Bats allowed
  • BBCOR bats are ok ONLY in the Intermediate division
